Meet Mandela Fellow Teslima Jallow

A development studies student, Teslima has over five years’ experience in community development, and volunteers in a number of organizations.  He serves as the deputy Country Director for the non-profit organization, Your Change for A Change (YCFaC) foundation, and he co-founded the community based organization, the Kombo East Youth and Children Development Alliance (KEYCDA).  Through these two organizations, he has organized programs offering healthcare assistance to underprivileged children and pregnant women in six rural communities, directly benefitting 11,250 people in two years.  Teslima is an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center in Accra, Ghana.
