Temporary Closure for Routine Consular Services

We will be opening on the following dates: August 26 to September 5, 2019 for limited routine services.

Routine visa processing and American Citizen Services (ACS) at the U.S. Embassy in Banjul will be suspended, effective July 8, 2019 until further notice.  This is a temporary closure and this website will be updated when the Consular Section re-opens.  The Embassy will continue to provide emergency assistance to U.S. citizens during this period.  Please visit our American Citizen Services website for emergency contact information for U.S. citizens.

Applicants for nonimmigrant visas or regular ACS may apply at any U.S. Embassy or Consulate.  To submit a routine nonimmigrant visa application, please visit www.ustraveldocs.com or ais.usvisa-info.com to schedule an interview at any other U.S. embassy or consulate.   Please note that nonimmigrant Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fees (also known as visa application fees) are generally non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or for use in another country.  However, the MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in Banjul within one year of the date of payment.
